• Refer to Gen 7.4 and RPP 2-3 of the DFSA Rulebook
  • Submit the Principal Representative status application form on the DFSA ePortal
  • Application: Complete the requirements above and submit the application form on the DFSA ePortal. If applicable, the DFSA will then issue a fee invoice. Once the fees are paid, the application will be accepted for evaluation.
  • Evaluation: The DFSA will conduct a thorough assessment of the application, which may include an interview with the proposed applicant to assess their knowledge, skills and fitness for the proposed role. If there is insufficient information, the DFSA will request additional details. Applicants will only be authorised if the DFSA assesses that they are fit and proper, and that the functions of their role will be conducted and managed in a sound and prudent manner.
  • Authorisation: The DFSA will conduct a final assessment before granting authorisation.

The following documents need to be submitted with the application form:

  • Candidate's passport and UAE visa if applicable
  • Candidate's CV
  • Job description
  • Candidate's education, professional qualifications and experience
  • Candidate's positions of Controller, Director, or Partner in past 10 years

Fees details can be found in the Fees Module (FER) of the DFSA Rulebook. Service fees are paid through bank transfer to the DFSA.
